Emergency preparedness can’t live in a binder—and this workshop proves it.

Join AASCA and AzCHER for a highly interactive, full-day Emergency Preparedness Workshop designed specifically for ambulatory surgery centers. This is not a lecture-based session. It’s a working workshop where you will actively build, test, and practice the core components of an effective Emergency Preparedness Program.

You’ll work through real-world ASC scenarios, complete a Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) using an all-hazards, Arizona-based approach, and participate in a live, facilitated community disaster drill led by emergency preparedness experts. You’ll leave with practical tools, templates, and clarity you can immediately put to work at your center.

This training delivers confidence, readiness, and actionable takeaways, not just theory.

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end of the day, attendees will have:

  • Built or refined an HVA using a proven all-hazards framework
  • Practiced emergency response and de-escalation techniques in real time
  • Completed and documented live drill and tabletop exercise that meets CMS Emergency Preparedness annual testing requirements
  • Gained clarity on regulatory expectations and best practices
  • Received ready-to-use templates, tools, and checklists
  • Connected directly with emergency management professionals
  • This workshop is ideal for ASCs ready to move beyond compliance and toward true preparedness.
